Gander Academy Library Resource Center serves all primary and elementary students in the Gander area. The resource center and the library resource center program are key elements in the implementation of resource-based learning.
The center's program is designed to foster independent life-long learning through exposure to a wide variety of resources and mediums that are incorporated into well-planned learning experiences. The teachers and teacher librarian work together at each grade level to cooperatively plan, implement and evaluate units of work that incorporate the knowledge and skills of the curriculum.
The center is operated by a fabulous system of volunteers that support and work with the teacher-librarian and we appreciate their help very much.
